We are very excited about the upcoming year and the events we have planned for our community.Our most popular undertaking, the California Diversity and Leadership Conference, will take place on June 4.
HOUSTON-The National Diversity Council announces the 2015 Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology, a definitive list of female executives, influencers and achievers impacting the technology industry. "The 2015 Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology features the highest caliber of executive leaders within this industry," said Dennis Kennedy, founder and CEO of the National Diversity Council. "We are honored to feature such a powerful group of inspirational women reaching new heights of achievement in business."
The California Diversity Council hosted three Women in Leadership Symposium in Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego on March 10, March 12 and March 18, respectivley. These half- day events brought together a diverse mix of successful women leaders who, through the discus-sion of topics relevant to today’s issues educated, inspired and encouraged women amongst various industries to reflect on their own goals and status as they continue to strive to advance within their organizations.

The California Diversity Council hosted their Inaugural San Diego Multicultural Roundtable on February 11, 2015, at the offices of Care Fusion in San Diego, California. This half- day event brought together four multicultural leaders who spoke about their experiences in the workplace, along with strategies and tech- niques on how to climb the corporate ladder.
Negro History Week was founded in 1926 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson to coincide with the February birthday celebrations of President Abraham Lincoln and abolitionist Frederick Douglass. African Americans' journey across the African Diaspora stripped these people of any connection to their motherland. Those who landed in the United States were considered property (not citizens) and had no personal sense of endearment to the countries' historic milestones.
