Our History

Due to the success of the Texas Diversity Council, www.texasdiversitycouncil.org, and the need for a national organization to champion diversity across the United States, the National Diversity Council was launched in August 2008.

The National Diversity Council’s goal is to create both state and regional councils throughout the US.  Its mission is to promote Diversity and Inclusion in both our workplaces and in our communities.

Approximately 2 years ago, the National Diversity Council created the California Diversity Council with a mission to help strengthen organizations with education, strategies and measurable best practices for leveraging Diversity in the workplace.  Our organization has a unique set of resources and tools to support consistency in analysis and performance tracking while showing value-added results with diversity measures and performance standards.
